This was a unique little coming together for Team Walking for Udders! Normally we all fly in together, rent a car together, do our last minute shopping and schlepping together. But with Jessica in Indiana, Maggie in North Carolina, Doris in Connecticut and me in New York, we had separate plans brewing. I met mom in CT yesterday and we Subaru’d our tushes over, staying in NoWhere, PA last night. Jessica drove in to Ann Arbor to stay with some college friends. Maggie flew in this morning and went straight to her crew meeting.
But now we’re all together, heading to dinner, and then setting out our shoes, gear and a mess of pink stuff for our early morning. Maggie will be at the starling line at FOUR AM as Safety Crew, and we’ll join her at 6 and be on the road after a teary opening ceremony.
Thank you, again, to everyone who helped us make our fundraising minimums and offered non-monetary support for this event and all the ones we’ve done in our 9-year history. It is a beautiful weekend of community, support and hope, and we’re honored to walk for you and those you love.
We’ll be taking lots of pictures and blogging here over the weekend, so please keep tuned for more!
Much love, thanks and humility,
Jacqueline and the Udders
